It’s simple styling, the traditional 5 piece shaker is still popular. (5 pieces are from the 2 vertical rails, 2 horizontal rails, and 1 centre panel). You may like the look that could have a Belfast sink, granite or real Oak worktop, possibly with painted doors with cup handles on the drawers, and metro style wall tile. You may prefer a more up to date look with an undermount sink and alternative handle.

A classic door style often has the raised centre panel, with a more intricate cornice & pelmet, for an opulent room appearance. Often these are paired with granite worktops, but also may have a more modern quartz. Perhaps a full height splashback in glass or worktop material instead of tiling. Just because they are referred to as classic doesn’t mean you are restricted to staying totally old school. You might opt for a ‘modern range’ oven setup, with a couple of low level ovens under the worktop oven side by side plus a 5+ burner hob above them, or the oven & microwave tall housing stack.

Traditional kitchens are split into two styles, those being shaker or classic

Timeless classic styles that haven’t gone out of fashion. You may want to get a ‘farmhouse’ look and feel, where more simplicity and function rules the day. Or maybe make a much more grand statement is called for, with more delicate features. Sometimes your home may dictate the style, but just as often it is the complete overall style of your home that you may want to tie the kitchen into.

Professional, friendly and good communications

Stan at Grace & Harmony did a complete refit of my kitchen at the end of 2018. He and the other professional tradespeople who worked on the kitchen did an excellent job – turned up when they said they would, kept to budget and the end result is no less than fabulous. Stan worked with me to create the perfect design. Would happily recommend this company.

Excellent workmanship

I employed Stan from Grace & Harmony to replace my kitchen worktops, sink and taps and I am absolutely delighted with the end result. Since I am widow, Stan was very helpful in advising me as to what tops and sink to use, leaving me with several samples to enable me to make my decision. Everything has been done to a very high standard and my kitchen was left clean and tidy at the end of the work each day. Stan was very polite and respectful and I left him with my door key to enable him to complete the finish whilst I was out and he is very trustworthy and honest. I would highly recommend Stan and his Grace & Harmony Co.
