It’s simple styling, the traditional 5 piece shaker is still popular. (5 pieces are from the 2 vertical rails, 2 horizontal rails, and 1 centre panel). You may like the look that could have a Belfast sink, granite or real Oak worktop, possibly with painted doors with cup handles on the drawers, and metro style wall tile. You may prefer a more up to date look with an undermount sink and alternative handle.
A classic door style often has the raised centre panel, with a more intricate cornice & pelmet, for an opulent room appearance. Often these are paired with granite worktops, but also may have a more modern quartz. Perhaps a full height splashback in glass or worktop material instead of tiling. Just because they are referred to as classic doesn’t mean you are restricted to staying totally old school. You might opt for a ‘modern range’ oven setup, with a couple of low level ovens under the worktop oven side by side plus a 5+ burner hob above them, or the oven & microwave tall housing stack.
